Quarterbacks Ryan Mallett and Tyler Wilson combined for 10 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in a 166-play scrimmage today that lasted about 2 hours, 20 minutes.
Not every receiver, running back or quarterback is accounted for. These are the highlights and top players.

STATS
QUARTERBACKS
Ryan Mallett: 20 of 48 for 361 yards, 5 touchdowns and 1 interception
Tyler Wilson: 17 of 27 for 347 yards, 5 touchdowns and 1 interception
Observations: Mallett started out hot with seven straight completions for 177 yards and 1 touchdown, but really cooled down afterward. He hit a stretch of incompletions on 13 of 14 throws and also tossed an interception to Isaac Madison.
Tyler Wilson, again, has proven to be the most consistent in the last two or three scrimmages. He had a 67-yard touchdown throw to London Crawford for his first TD.
RECEIVERS
Joe Adams: 8 catches, 160 yards, 4 TDs
Jarius Wright: 8 catches, 161 yards, 2 TDs
Reggie Fish: 3 catches, 111 yards, 2 TDs
London Crawford: 3 catches, 110 yards, 1 TD
D.J. Williams: 4 catches, 35 yards
Chris Gragg: 2 catches, 25 yards
Broderick Green: 3 catches, 20 yards
Ben Cleveland: 1 catch, 9 yards
Observations: Four receivers finished with 160 yards or more, including sophomores Joe Adams and Jarius Wright‘s stellar day. London Crawford had the longest touchdown catch of the day with a 67-yard grab. Adam’s four touchdowns came on catches of 45, 25, 26 and 10 yards.
RUNNING BACKS
Mitchell Bailey: 15 carries for 110 yards, 1 TD
De'Anthony Curtis has been more consistent this spring than during his freshman campaign in the fall. (Times Photo)
De’Anthony Curtis: 14 carries for 93 yards
Adrian Moore: 10 carries for 29 yards, 1 TD
Broderick Green: 17 carries for 17 yards, 2 TDs
Observations: Mitchell Bailey‘s 80-yard run — as mentioned below — was probably the highlight of the day. The walk-on’s family was in attendance and was hootin’ and hollerin’ beside the several hundred Hog fans in attendance. Other than that, the running game was slow to develop at times. Sophomore De’Anthony Curtis, though, is starting to prove that he’s gotten past his “fumbilitis” freshman days on the Hill. He was perhaps the most explosive of the ‘backs today.
But what do you expect? Dennis Johnson (ankle) and Knile Davis (broken ankle) were sidelined alongside starter Michael Smith (offseason hamstring surgery). It’ll be interesting to see if Johnson can get back on the field and make some headway against Curtis, who quickly seems
to be an adequate backup to Smith heading into fall drills.
There was also a mystery man on the field at running back today. No. 35. He had a couple of short runs.
Make sure to pick up a copy of the Northwest Arkansas Times tomorrow for more.

ORIGINAL POST (2:03 p.m.): I just got back in to the office and I’ll update this post later with some unofficial statistics. Here’s what I can tell you so far:

Sophomore wide receiver Joe Adams (3) was all over the field Saturday. He ended the day with 8 catches for 160 yards and 4 touchdowns, unofficially. (Times Photo/Andy Shupe)
— Joe Adams had the best day of the receivers, catching eight balls for 160 yards and 4 touchdowns.
— Walk-on fullback Mitchell Bailey made the most of his opportunity as a tailback in the absence of Dennis Johnson and Knile Davis, taking his first carry 80 yards for a touchdown. He popped a linebacker, bounced off him and ran right through the middle of the second-team defense, splitting two safeties along the way. That can’t be good for the defense, especially considering Bailey isn’t necessarily a sub-4.4 runner in the 40-yard dash.
— On the injury front, nose tackle Zach Stadther was pacing the sidelines with a neck brace on. Offensive guard Seth Oxner injured his knee and limped to the sideline. The extent of both injuries are not known. Tight end Chris Gragg hurt his shin early in the scrimmage after being sandwiched by two defenders on an 18-yard catch from Ryan Mallett. Gragg limped on the sidelines the remainder of the day. Also, Johnson’s ankle injury he suffered during Wednesday’s practice has not been fully evaluated. The staff is waiting for the swelling to go down, and they expect to know more by mid-week.
— The defense dominated the middle part of the scrimmage, as the offense went 12 straight possessions without touchdowns. The average amount of plays by the offense during those drives, you ask? Just five. The offense, especially Mallett, was hot to start the scrimmage as he connected on his first seven passes.
The first- and second-team offenses scored on six of their first seven possessions on drives on touchdown passes of 27, 67, 47, 45 and 44 yards. Broderick Green accounted for the sixth TD on a 1-yard run.
By the way, Green struggled quite a bit near the goal line today and took at least three runs inside the 5-yard line on two possessions to get TDs.
That’s all I’ve got for now. Again, more stats and observations to come in the next hour or so. Lots of stats to compile.

I understand that Bobby Petrino is a creative master mind on offense, but after last year, the stats are more than a little concerning in regard to the defense.
Was it ones against ones, twos, or what?
It also sounds like the highly touted incoming defensive backs are going to be needed.
Mostly ones vs. ones, twos vs. twos. They did mix some things up, though. Today was the first time in a while that Tyler Wilson was given a couple of possessions with the first team. He did well with the first team
Not all was bad defensively. As I mentioned above, the defense held the offense without a touchdown and an average of five plays per drive for 12 straight possessions. That’s pretty stout, if you ask me.
The defensive line held their own in the red zone. One possession ended on a fourth down on the 1-yard line and Broderick Green was stuffed several times inside the 5.
That’s a little more reassuring. Many thanks, Brandon. From everything being said, it sounds like they have a couple of shut down Dbacks on the way in the fall, as well. The Wingo kid from St. Louis could also make a statement at running back.
