Rivals.com keeps its eyes on Arkansas' West Coast trip

There’s a big series brewing this weekend on the West Coast, and it’s one No. 17 Arkansas is favored to win, according to Rivals.com.

It’s one of the biggest series this weekend in the nation, and the biggest test of the season for Arkansas in the non-conference slate.

Here’s more from Rivals.com:

NO. 15 ARKANSAS AT CALIFORNIA — The Razorbacks clearly have the edge in this series with a strong offense and good enough pitching staff, but it’s always tough to head to the West Coast on short notice. The Razorbacks must find a way to keep from giving the Golden Bears free passes. Though Cal is off to a nice 6-1 start, its competition hasn’t included much so far this season. Arkansas has the edge and wins this series unless it fails to match potential.

Arkansas wins two of three

The Razorbacks will go with their usual pitching rotation of Mike Bolsinger, Drew Smyly and Brett Eibner this weekend. The only question is whether second baseman Bo Bigham will be back on the field after tearing his labrum in the season opener.

Game 1 of the series in Berkeley, Calif., is set for 3:30 p.m. (CT) on Friday.
