Freshman defensive end LaCraig Brown has been in and out of practice since the start of preseason camp, and his status has remained in the air for several days.
Arkansas’ coaching staff has a policy to not talk about players who are missing from practice, so zero explanation has been given when asked about Brown’s absence. A little digging — and a call to a university spokesperson — this morning reveals that Brown (6-4, 288) is no longer listed on the Razorbacks’ roster.
So where is the Monroe, La., native?
I’ll be out at practice later this morning and will look into it.
UPDATE (12:35 p.m.): Defensive coordinator Willy Robinson would not comment on Brown’s whereabouts and neither would a team spokesman after practice today. The Monroe, La., native is also not listed in Arkansas’ student directory.
“I’m not going there,” Robinson said. “I’m going back to that thing. I’m in my lane.”

Fortunately for us, the sophomores & upperclassmen on the DL are not going to give these young guys much playing time anyway. They sound to be much improved..
Although it looks as if Byran Jones and Chris Smith could wiggle their way onto the field.

Word is he is not on the roster or on the student list at UA.
Maybe the locker room wasn’t good enough for him.
I was afraid something was up after being out for a few days straight. Weird, but you never know what the personal situation may be. He committed to us, backed off, then recommitted. Maybe his heart wasn’t fully in it. Best of luck to him. We’ve just got to continue to stock the DL in this coming class.
What does that comment from Robinson even mean?
According to this, he went home and is looking for a new school. Apparently practice was too hard.
