Former Arkansas receiver Marquel Wade has enrolled at Milford Academy, a prep school in New York, according to the program’s roster.
Wade (5-foot-11, 180 pounds) enrolled at Arkansas and began going through preseason drills, but abruptly returned to his home in Jacksonville, Fla., on Aug. 19. When asked about the matter, Razorback coach Bobby Petrino said, “Marquel has an eligibility issue he’s dealing with.”
Wade posted on his Facebook account last month he was working toward returning to Arkansas in January. He had been expected to compete for the team’s starter spot at punt return this season.

Hope we can get him back here, and soon.

Ah, Milford Academy, where children are neither seen nor heard.
he’s my role model and i go to the same school he came from and everynight i pray that he gets back to arkansas with his new family, because he deserves that opritunity, Marquel came from nothing now he’s bettering his self to become something so thats why i look up to him now arkansas is my favorite team every since he signed with them!
Marquel was a bright star in my 7th grade Mathematics class. I’ve seen many young men in my 16 year teaching carreer and Marquel was one of my favorites. He had a positive attitude and smile that would melt your heart. His athletic talent was obvious from the start. I have always been fan of Marquel and I hope he’s doing well. Marquel, you can come visit me and Mr. Whaley at MMS when you’re back home. Go AJ Tigers!! c/o 88.
